This is Ackison Road. It runs south from Hwy 7 down into Peterborough, Ontario. That's one of the Peterborough water towers you can see poking up out of the trees just to the left of the point where the road meets the horizon.
These photos are part of an ongoing project in which I'm taking photos of different locations over the course of several seasons.
I really enjoy watching the landscape change as one season moves into the next. As much as winter can be difficult, I don't think I could really enjoy living somewhere that didn't have four distinct seasons. The seasonal change in my environment informs so much of how I relate to the world. And it defninitely helps the memory to be able to say, "that was two winters ago," or "last spring," "it was cold out," or "it was a warm sunny day."
I've got a couple more month to add to this cycle. I'm missing June and July. Check back at the end of the summer to see the completed year of photos.
You can see more of my landscape and weather photos (as well as some rock and roll and animals) on my blog at evmustang.ca
Thanks for stopping by.
